The most recent annual report by the Arcus Foundation features Johannesburg-based Iranti, a media advocacy organization focused on the trans and intersex communities in South Africa. 2022-23 Advocate Jade Jacobs-Wort was acting co-director of Iranti in 2023. "Activism is not always about being on major platforms and being hyper visible,” says Jade Jacobs-Wort. “It’s the collective impact of countless individuals, empowered by support from organizations and institutions like Iranti … and many others, that ultimately bends the arc of justice.”
