On October 21, ISHR and the Human Rights Institute at Columbia Law co-hosted the 2nd Annual HRAP Memorial Lecture, "The Struggle for the Realization of the Principle of 'Nunca Mas' in the Life and Legacy of Felipe Michelini.” NYU Professor David Donat Cattin delivered the lecture which focused on contributions that 1990 Advocate Felipe Michelini of Uruguay made as a human rights activist and practitioner to the promotion and protection of the rights of victims of crimes against humanity and gross violations of human rights. Stephanie Grepo of ISHR opened the event with memories of Felipe including his annual visits to Columbia to meet with HRAP participants and alumni and his successful campaign to free a member of the 1990 HRAP cohort who had been unjustly imprisoned.
